Deer Lake to get direct flight to Florida

Travellers on the west coast of Newfoundland will soon have a new seasonal direct flight to the south.

Sunwing has announced it will offer a weekly flight from Deer Lake to the popular Florida vacation destination of Orlando.

The flights will start in March 2015, and continue into May.

The Deer Lake Regional Airport also offers direct flights to Cuba and the Dominican Republic around the same time of the year.
