Corner Brook apartment building struck by fire

An apartment building on Humber Road in Corner Brook was struck by fire on Saturday night.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, Corner Brook Fire Department and paramedics responded to the fire at 10:50 p.m. and all the building's tenants were able to exit the building without incident.

All the tenants displaced as a result of the blaze were able to find alternate accommodations with friends and family.

The Canadian Red Cross also helped residents displaced from a home on Dingwell's Lane, adjacent to the burning building.

There were no injuries reported.

Fire crews remained on the scene Sunday morning, and the RNC is investigating the cause of the fire.
