Four people have been displaced, following an early morning fire in a residential neighbourhood in Clarenville Thursday.

A duplex on Swan Avenue caught fire, but the RCMP said there were no injuries.

A Clarenville resident told CBC that sections of Swan Avenue, Hibernia Drive and Gladney Street were closed to traffic as crews responded to the fire.

The Canadian Red Cross says it is providing accommodations, food and clothing for two of the residents who cannot currently return to their home, while the other two are staying with family.
