Charges linked to Paradise drugstore robbery
Two men have been arrested in connection with a recent drugstore robbery outside St. John's, although the actual thieves have not yet been caught.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said a St. John's man, 30, and a Paradise man, 31, face charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
The charges are connected to the July 26 robbery of Octagon PharmaChoice in Paradise where hundreds of prescription drugs — including oxycodone, Ritalin and morphine — were stolen.
Police put the value of the stolen drugs at more than $1,600.
