Cattle wrangling, RCMP-style

RCMP in Bonavista responded to a complaint that cows were running loose on the highway just north of Port Rexton on Wednesday night.

Const. Justin Lyall found 10 cows roaming about two kilometres away from their pasture.

Lyall used his patrol car, with police lights on, to herd them back.

"It was an interesting night. Can't say I ever had to wrangle cattle before, considering I am from Nain," Lyall said in an RCMP release.
