Artists team up to raise funds for family of late Justin Frampton
Cards for Sarah group to donate money to family of St. John's man who died after having glioblastoma
A group of artists and volunteers that sells locally-made Christmas cards will donate the money raised this year to the family of Justin Frampton.
Frampton, 34, died on Nov. 23 from glioblastoma, leaving behind a wife and two children.
Originally, Frampton had planned to be a part of the Cards for Sarah fundraiser, which was started in memory of Sarah Turpin, who died after being diagnosed with cancer.
"We wanted to give him a little more ease as he spent his remaining days with his family," organizer and artist Hillary Winter said.
"We got our first order of cards in and that day he passed away."
Winter started the volunteer-run fundraiser after Sarah Turpin passed away in 2014, just days after being diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, leaving behind three children and a husband.

This year the money made from the cards will go to Framton's family.
Winter said a group has gotten together five times in the past few weeks to sort, fold and package more than 5,000 cards.
Sold in packs of 10 for $20, the cards can be purchased at 15 locations in and around St. John's.
