Arson possible in Conception Harbour house fire

Police are suspicious about a fire that extensively damaged a house in Conception Harbour on Tuesday afternoon. 

The house was unoccupied. 

A fire investigator with the RCMP and staff with the provincial fire commissioner's office were examining the scene Tuesday. 

Volunteer firefighters from Conception Harbour and nearby Avondale and Colliers responded to the fire, which broke out on the community's main road. 

Because the fire has been deemed suspicious, RCMP are asking anyone with information to contact the Holyrood detachment or the anonymous Crime Stoppers service.
