A search is underway at Moncton's Centennial Park for a missing woman.

RCMP got tips Alanna Greene was seen at Centennial Park

Police searched Moncton's Centennial Park Thursday for a missing woman.

Alanna Greene, 29, was last seen walking on Mountain Road, near Killam Drive, on Sept. 16.

Tri-County Ground Search and Rescue led the search for her at the park.

Codiac Regional RCMP said they were following up on tips that Greene had been spotted there.

They declined to give any other details.

A Facebook group called "Bring Alanna Home," which was created on Wednesday, had more than 5,300 members by mid-afternoon Thursday.

The open group is designed to share photos and information about Greene and help spread the word about her disappearance. "Get Alanna's face known so if anyone has seen her they can help us locate her," the page urges.

Greene is about five-feet, four-inches tall and weighs about 135 pounds.

She has brown, shoulder-length hair and brown eyes.

When she disappeared, Greene was wearing a blue sweater, blue jeans and white shoes. She was carrying a blue backpack.

She was last seen on Sept. 16 at about 5 p.m., after running an errand.
