Ultramar on Mountain Road was held up by a woman armed with a knife

Codiac RCMP are searching for a female suspect in connection with an armed robbery at a gas station in Moncton on Wednesday morning.

A woman, armed with a knife, entered the Ultramar at 884 Mountain Rd. at about 5:10 a.m. and demanded money, Sgt. André Pepin said in a news release.

But the woman fled after the clerk managed to take control of the weapon, he said.

No one was injured.

Members of police dog services and other officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect, said Pepin.

She is described as being Caucasian, about 30 years old, 160 pounds, with dirty blond hair.

Her left arm is amputated below the elbow, said Pepin.

She was wearing red or pink pyjama pants at the time of the incident, he said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP at 506-857-2400, or Crime Stoppers at 1-8000-222-TIPS.
