The RCMP are still looking for a 44-year-old man from northwestern New Brunswick who was last seen getting into a cab outside a Moncton nightclub.

Fred Byram, 44, lives in Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska but spends each week working in Moncton.

Last Thursday night, near midnight, Byram left the Rockin Rodeo nightclub, said goodbye to some acquaintances and got in a cab.

Codiac RCMP Const. Damien Theriault said that's the last time anyone saw him.

He was living at the Elmwood Motel but hasn't been back to pick up his belongings and he hasn't returned home.

Theriault said Byram hasn't contacted any family or friends, hasn't returned to the hotel where he was staying and hasn't gone home to Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska.

"It's not something he's done in the past and also whenever he's away working for a week, working in Moncton, he has had contact with them everyday," Theriault said.

"And right now, we are exactly a week away from the time he was last seen and nobody has heard from him."

Byram was reported missing on Oct. 10 and so far the police have not received any tips about his whereabouts.

Byram has a distinctive tattoo on his right arm.
