The red carpet was rolled out on Thursday evening in Fredericton for an exclusive screening of the movie Copperhead, which filmed at the Kings Landing Historic Settlement.

The movie was shot a year ago at the Kings Landing Historic Settlement near Fredericton.

Copperhead was the name given to northerners in the American Civil War, who didn't want a war with the south.

Ron Maxwell, the movie’s director, said he so thoroughly enjoyed working in New Brunswick that he decided to roll out the red carpet in Fredericton for its Canadian preview.

CBC reporter Catherine Harrop was at the event.
