The Saint-Louis-de-Gonzague Church in Richibucto suffered minor damage Wednesday after a fire broke out on the building's roof.

The fire, which began late in the morning, was caused by a torch being used by a worker on the roof, Richibucto fire Chief Sean Sullivan said.

The flames were extinguished in about 30 minutes, he said.

There were no injuries or significant structural damage as a result of the blaze.
