Fatal house fire in Bouctouche called 'accidental'
RCMP say arson ruled out of Bouctouche fire
The Office of the Fire Marshal and the RCMP are ruling out arson in a house fire that killed two people in the southeastern community of Bouctouche.
The investigation into the fatal fire at the two-storey home determined the cause was accidental, according to a statement from the RCMP.
The bodies were found in the house on Sept. 7.
The RCMP say a 62-year-old man and a 63-year-old woman, who both from Simcoe, Ont., died in the fire.
The homeowners were able to flee the fire.
One of them has been treated and released from hospital, while the other remains in serious condition, according to the police.
