Arson charges laid in Doaktown-area fires
Five people have been charged with a series of arsons at unoccupied buildings in the Doaktown area over a one-year period.
Troy Ward, 25, of Blissfield, was charged with arson after a fire was set at an unoccupied home in Blissfield on Nov. 21, 2008.
Leo Murray Veno, 28, of Doaktown was also charged in the same fire.
Thomas Francis Colford, 24, of Doaktown, was charged with arson after a fire was set at an unoccupied home in Doaktown on Nov. 2, 2009.
Sherry Story, 39, of Doaktown and Terrence Murray Ryder, 25, of Fredericton were both charged with arson in connection with the same fire.
Colford and Ryder are also charged after a fire was set at an unoccupied home in Doaktown on Nov. 20, 2009.
Ryder also faces another arson charge with a fire at an unoccupied business in Doaktown on Nov. 6, 2009.
The five individuals are scheduled to appear in Miramichi Provincial Court on Dec. 13, 2010.
