Diana and Willie Robichaud marked a rare wedding anniversary on Thursday.

The Bathurst couple has been married for 80 years.

"They were not feeling too good these last couple of weeks there … and we were scared they wouldn't be able to make it," said daughter Rosa Gallant.

Diana is 99 and Willie is 101. They have a hard time hearing each other now, but they still speak the language of love.

"They were talking all the time," said Gallant.

"They were always fixing things up and we never saw them mad. You could feel the love."

When they moved into the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Willie had a request to make about the sleeping arrangements.

"When he walked into the room he said `What's this? Two beds? ... that's not going to work,'" said Gallant.

"He said. 'We've been sleeping together for all those years ... it's not time that, you know, that we're going to be separated now."
