4 face charges in Sackville pharmacy armed robbery
Claimed to be armed with syringe, demanded narcotics
Four out-of-province men are facing charges in connection with an attempted armed robbery at a pharmacy in Sackville on Thursday.
The men, three from Prince Edward Island, and one from British Columbia, are scheduled to appear in Moncton provincial court on Friday.
RCMP say two men entered a pharmacy on Main Street shortly after 2 p.m., claiming to be armed with a syringe and demanding narcotics.
The pharmacist refused and the men fled, RCMP Sgt. Paul Ouellette stated in a release.
One man was arrested a few blocks away.
The second suspect and two other men were arrested a short time later in a nearby vehicle with the help of the RCMP's police dog service, Ouellette said.
The accused range in age from 23 to 57, he said.
