Two men in hospital after crash in St-Jérôme

Two men in their twenties are in critical condition at a Montreal hospital after a car accident in St-Jérôme on Saturday night.

Two men are in critical condition at a Montreal hospital after a car accident Saturday night.

Police said the men, both in their 20s, were travelling at high speed in a residential area when they crashed into a pole.

The 23-year-old driver was ejected upon impact.

The 22-year-old passenger had to be pulled from the vehicle with the Jaws of Life.

Both men are being treated at Montreal's Sacré-Coeur Hospital for head injuries.

Police said speed and alcohol were factors in the accident.
