Two men in their early 20s were found dead late Monday in an outdoor activity park on Montreal's South Shore. Police believe they died of gunshot wounds.

Longueuil police received a 911 call at 10:50 p.m. from a witness who found two bodies amid some trees inside the entrance of Brossard's Centre de plein air, on Chemin des Prairies.

One victim is 21 years old and the other 23, police said. Both were taken to hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

Police say the evidence gathered so far suggests the crime occurred where their bodies were found. A black Lexus was found near the bodies.

Investigators are on the scene and a section of Chemin des Prairies has been sealed off. A provincial police canine team is expected to assist local investigators.

Police are asking anyone with information to call 911.
