Weekend closures and a new look for the Turcot Interchange come Monday
Those heading downtown or to Montreal's west end will have to pay attention
Drivers, take note — starting Monday, the configuration of Highway 20 East in the Turcot Interchange is going to look a little different.
Right now, motorists heading downtown stay in the two middle lanes to access Route 136 east. Come Monday, they will have to stay in the left lane.
If you're going to the Décarie Expressway, you'll have to stay in the middle lane instead of the left lane.
And it's business as usual if you're heading to Highway 15 South — keep right.
The new configuration will be in place until the beginning of 2018, according to the Transport Ministry.
And of course, there is the usual slate of weekend closures in the area to contend with.
- Route 136 East (the Ville-Marie Expressway) from the Turcot Interchange to the de la Cathédrale Street entrance, from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
- Highway 15 South ramp to Route 136 East, from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
- Highway 20 East ramp toward the Décarie from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
- St-Jacques Street exit from Highway 720 West (the Ville-Marie Expressway) from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
