Quebec provincial police are treating the deaths of two men in Vaudreuil-Dorion as suspicious.

They believe the deaths are linked to organized crime based on initial evidence, said Sûreté du Québec Sgt. Claude Denis.

Just before 1 p.m. on Thursday, police received a call about a man who was found seriously injured on a property in a rural area on Montée d'Alstonvale.

The man was pronounced dead in hospital.

Police cordoned off the scene and began searching the area with a helicopter, dogs and another local police force. Late in the afternoon they found a second man, also seriously injured, who later died.

Both men are in their 40s. Police cannot confirm if there is a link between them yet because they have not been identified.

Police said they will be back on the scene Friday to continue the investigation.
