Man in his 40s dies after downtown stabbing

Police say Montreal's 20th homicide victim was stabbed "with a sharp weapon to the upper body." He was pronounced dead in hospital.

A man in his 40s has died after he was stabbed at the corner of Berri and Viger streets in downtown Montreal this morning. 

Police say he was stabbed "with a sharp weapon to the upper body."

He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No suspects have been arrested. Investigators are on site to piece together what happened.

This is the 20th homicide so far this year in Montreal.
