Roosh V not welcome in Montreal: Mayor Denis Coderre
Controversial blogger has scheduled meetup in secret location in Montreal next week as part of 165-city tour
For a second time in six months, the controversial anti-feminist American blogger who goes by Roosh V is planning a meetup in Montreal, and once again, Montreal Mayor Denis Coderre has made it clear that he is not welcome.
Coderre denounced the blogger in an executive committee meeting on Wednesday morning and again, to reporters, a few hours later.

—@JimWatsonOttawaWatson urged Ottawa city staff to prevent the blogger from renting out city facilities for his planned meetup there.

That sentiment has since been echoed by other municipal leaders across Canada.
Roosh V to be at meetup in Washington, D.C.
Roosh V, a U.S. blogger whose real name is Daryush Valizadeh, gained attention for his pro-rape and misogynistic writing and behaviour.

The so-called "pick-up artist" was met with protests from Montrealers last August when he was scheduled to give a talk in the city.
Coderre tweeted a similar response then, condemning Valizadeh for his hateful comments towards women, adding that freedom of expression did not protect speeches that promote "legal rape."
On his website, Valizadeh is billing the event on Saturday as an opportunity for like-minded heterosexual males from 43 countries to meet each other. No women are allowed, and there is an elaborate strategy for registering by email to learn the whereabouts of each meeting.
The blogger himself said he will be at the Washington meeting.
