NBA star Joel Anthony shares basketball tips with Montreal youth

NBA star Joel Anthony may be stationed in Florida playing for the Miami Heat, but his roots are firmly entrenched in his hometown of Montreal.

The 30-year-old basketball player was in Côte-des-Neiges Saturday to host a basketball clinic with young people living in the area. 

Kids under the age of 12, as well as youths between the ages of 13 and 18, were privy to a skills-training program this weekend.

"This is a great opportunity for the kids to meet him and get involved," said Shawna Malcolm, a mother of one of the children participating in the event.
