The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has issued a recall of Natrel milk products, made by the Agropur dairy company due to spoilage.

The CFIA says the Natrel milk products are being sold in Quebec, Ontario and Nova Scotia.

The products are various formats of Fine-Filtered Skim Milk, 1% Partly Skimmed Milk, 2% Partly Skimmed Milk and Homogenized Milk, as well as Organic Fine-Filtered 1% Partly Skimmed Milk, 2% Partly Skimmed, and 3.8% Whole Milk.

The expiration dates for the milk range from October 23 to October 31.

The food inspection agency classifies the hazard as Class 3, which the Health Canada website says “is not likely to cause any adverse health consequences.”

Last September, Agropur pulled Natrel products from its shelves after receiving complaints from consumers about the company's milk going off weeks ahead of its best before date.

The company said officials found tiny cracks in the pasteurizing equipment at the plant in Quebec City, which prompted a CFIA investigation.
