A downtown Montreal marijuana grow-op was discovered Saturday by firefighters during a routine inspection following a fire at the address next door.
Firefighters made the discovery after putting out a fire in a restaurant in the basement of 1693 St-Denis Street.
An inspection of neighbouring buildings to ensure the fire was fully out led firefighters to one third-floor apartment where they found 100 marijuana plants.
Montreal police were called in to investigate and their inquiries are ongoing.
