Man stabbed in violent home invasion in Rigaud
Police investigate possible links between Quebec and Ontario home invasions
Quebec provincial police are investigating a violent home invasion in Rigaud, Que., located west of Montreal.
The incident happened on Anna Street in Rigaud, just after 1 a.m. on Tuesday.
One man, a 20-year-old tenant, was stabbed during the break-in. Police said he is expected to recover.
The two other occupants, a man in his 20s and a 31-year-old woman, also suffered minor injuries.
Police have arrested five suspects between the ages of 18 and 21. They are expected to appear in court Tuesday afternoon to face charges of robbery and breaking and entering.
Investigators are questioning the suspects and looking into whether they might have been involved in another recent home invasion across the border in Ontario.
