Ahuntsic-Cartierville shooting leaves man, 72, dead

A 72-year-old man is dead after he was shot at least once at a cafe on Fleury Street East Thursday afternoon.

A 72-year-old man is dead after he was shot at least once at a cafe on Fleury Street East near d'Iberville Street in  the Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough Thursday afternoon.

Police say the victim was shot at the Hillside Cafe at 2581 Fleury Street East.

The business also appears to go by the name Sinatra Café.

The man was taken to hospital in critical condition, but was later pronounced dead.

The intersection at Fleury East and d'Iberville streets was closed while police investigate.
