Man seriously injured in shooting on St-Zotique

A 28-year-old man is in serious condition after a shooting in Montreal's Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie borough Monday evening.

A 28-year-old man is in stable condition after a shooting in Montreal's Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie borough Monday evening. 

The man was shot at around 7:45 p.m. while walking along St-Zotique Street, near Chabot Street, according to Montreal police.

Police say the suspect approached the man and fired several shots. The victim was hit once, they said.

Police say the man was conscious but in serious condition when he was taken to hospital. His condition has since improved.

A suspect wearing dark clothes fled the scene on foot, police say. No arrests have been made.
