Lac-Mégantic: The derailment minute-by-minute
Just before 11 p.m. on July 5, 2013, a train pulling 72 tanker cars full of crude oil pulled into Nantes, Que. so the train's sole operator could rest for the night. Two hours later, the same train would derail and explode, destroying the centre of the town and killing 47 people.
