Quebec provincial police are looking for a driver who they believe hit and killed a teenage cyclist Tuesday night.
The 15-year-old boy was cycling on South Salvail Road at around 9 p.m. in Saint-Jude, Que.
Sureté du Québec spokesperson Daniel Thibodeau said a driver struck the cyclist, sending the boy into a ditch.
The teenager died later in hospital, and Thibodeau said the driver fled the scene.
"Parts of the vehicle were left on the scene and were picked up by investigators and will be analyzed to determine what kind of vehicle it is and will hopefully (lead us) to the driver responsible for this," said Thibodeau.
The victim lived in Saint-Jude.
