Montreal police now believe a LaSalle woman whose death was initially deemed suspicious likely died of natural causes.

Police said they received reports of a loud conflict in a home on Bergevin Street just before 4 a.m.

When they arrived at the scene, they found a woman in her 40s unconscious. She was pronounced dead by a doctor with Urgence-Santé a short time later, said Const. Anie Lemieux.

A 20-year-old man believed to be the woman's son was taken in for questioning, but he won't face charges.

Police said an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death, but they've ruled out foul play.
