Call for applications: 2019 CBC/QWF Writer-in-Residence Program

CBC Montreal and the Quebec Writers' Federation are now taking applications for the 2019 Writer-in-Residence Project.

CBC Montreal and the Quebec Writers' Federation are now taking applications for the 2019 Writer-in-Residence Project.

Now in its fourth year, The CBC/QWF writing residency is an opportunity for local writers to increase their profile in the community.

All emerging and established writers living in the greater Montreal area may apply. Those selected as finalists will be asked to join the Quebec Writers' Federation.

The selected writer will be responsible for producing a series of five nonfiction blog posts of 400 to 600 words each on Montreal-related themes to be developed with CBC staff and delivered on deadline every three to four weeks. They will be published on the CBC Montreal website. 

The deadline for applications is Monday, Oct. 15 (midnight). The official announcement will be made on Nov. 20 at the 2018 QWF Awards Gala.

The writing residency is from January to June, 2018.
