The Department of National Defence has issued an advisory for people in the Montreal area about some military aircraft which will be flying at low altitude this afternoon.

Between noon and 6 p.m., there will be three flypasts of military aircraft, including some helicopters and fighter jets.

The aircraft will be going over La Ronde as part of a tribute to the men and women in Canada's military.

In September, two CF-18 fighter jets did a flypast over a Montreal Alouettes football pre-game show, catching many Montrealers off-guard.
