Three unbeaten teams in men's hockey semis
Teake Takema scored both goals in a 2-1 Dutch win over Australia in the last day of preliminary play at the Helliniko Olympic Hockey Centre in Athens on Monday.
The Netherlands (5-0) gave up only nine goals in the first round, and the 2000 Olympic gold medallists will now advance to Wednesday's semifinals to face Germany.
Despite the loss, Australia (3-1-1) also qualified for the semis, and will meet Spain (3-0-2).
The Spaniards got two goals from Eduardo Tubau to shut out Egypt 3-0.
Germany (3-0-2) tuned up for the Netherlands game with a 2-2 tie with South Korea. It was a disappointing round for the Koreans, who won silver at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
In other action, Hayden Shaw scored two goals for New Zealand in a 4-1 won over South Africa, Pakistan hammered Great Britain 8-2, and India and Argentina played to a 2-2 tie.
All of those teams, as well as Egypt and South Korea, will go to the qualification round to determine fifth- to 12th-place standings.
