About the host
Julia Caron is an award-winning journalist based in Quebec City. She is constantly seeking out and sharing captivating stories across the furthest reaches of the province, having worked as a researcher, technician, producer and guest host on both Breakaway and Quebec AM since 2010. Born in Halifax, Julia has lived in over a dozen military towns over the years, before heading to Trent University in Peterborough, Ont. That's where she studied history, film and feminism as part of an interdisciplinary undergraduate degree. She has called Quebec City home since 2008, and proudly calls herself a franglophone (yes, it's a thing). Julia frequently participates in local literary events and festivals, interviewing authors, poets and illustrators. You can follow her online on Twitter at @cbcjulia and on Instagram @cbcjuliacaron.
