2 arrested after ATM attempted theft in Laval
Police are trying to determine if incident is related to string of robberies
Two men were arrested for trying to steal money from an ATM machine in Laval on Tuesday.
Laval police arrested the pair around 8 p.m. on St-Martin Boulevard.
The men, 41 and 56, were attempting to take cash from a mounted ATM at a financial institution. The two have prior charges of theft. They are both from Montreal.
The men are being held in a detention centre in Laval and expected to meet with investigators this morning.
This is the third report of an ATM theft in as many days in the Montreal-Laval area.
Investigators were brought to the scene to see whether this incident can be linked to the earlier thefts.
