One month after the Lac-Mégantic rail disaster, reporters were allowed into the so-called red-zone on Monday to see the remnants of what was once a bustling town centre.
Quebec provincial police took journalists on a tour of the levelled town core, where a train carrying light crude oil derailed on July 6 and caused a series of explosions.

At the centre of the worst-hit area of town, there is nothing but rubble.
"It's difficult to even find any recognizable objects," Northcott says.
