RCMP take 20-year-old man into custody after discovering woman’s body
A 20-year-old man is in RCMP custody after a woman was found dead in a Tataskweyak Cree Nation home.
Thompson RCMP were called to a home on the First Nation around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday for complaints of gunshots.
Officers arrived to find a woman dead inside the home.
A 20-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken into police custody.
RCMP said the deceased and the man who was arrested are known to each other.
No charges have been laid, and an autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday in Winnipeg.
Officers continue to investigate.
