Winnipeg police are thanking the public for help with identifying a woman who was killed in the city on Wednesday.

She was riding a bike near Main Street and Logan Avenue when she was hit by a semi-trailer, police say. The woman was in critical condition when crews got her to the hospital, and she later died.

At the time, the woman was carrying no identification.

The Winnipeg Police Service issued a news release, asking for the public's help in identifying her.

On Saturday, police issued another release, which said they confirmed her identity and notified her family.
