A Winnipeg swim academy is diversifying its offerings to include virtual babysitting course during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Aqua Essence runs swimming lessons and first aid programs for more than 1,000 students each year.

But Rishona Hyman, the academy's owner and instructor, stopped in-person lessons in March and moved online, offering a pilot program of a Red Cross course.
