RCMP arrest 3 after Thompson bust finds crack cocaine, weapons

Two men face drug charges and a woman is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking after a police search in Thompson, Man., on the weekend.

Manitoba RCMP arrested three people and seized weapons and drugs in a bust in Thompson on Saturday.

Investigators got a search warrant after they were told drugs were being sold out of a residence on Parkway Crescent.

Mounties found 28 grams of crack cocaine, individual rocks of crack cocaine, illegal cannabis, cash and some weapons, RCMP said in a news release Tuesday.

A 26-year-old woman, a 30-year-old man and a 19-year-old man, all from Thompson, were arrested.

The woman is charged with possession for the purposes of trafficking and possessing property obtained by crime.

The 26-year-old man faces the same charges, while the 19-year-old faces charges of possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possessing illegal cannabis for the purpose of selling and possessing property obtained by crime, RCMP said.

The investigation continues.
