RCMP investigating homicide of 18-year-old woman with autism in RM of Springfield
Lydia Whitford was found dead on July 14
Manitoba RCMP are investigating the homicide of an 18-year-old woman in the Rural Municipality of Springfield.
On July 14, officers were called to a residence in the rural municipality where they found Lydia Whitford dead inside.
The RCMP Major Crime Unit and the RCMP Serious Crime Unit are investigating.
Family told CBC that Whitford had autism, epilepsy and was non-verbal.
The rural municipality is located just east of Winnipeg.
