Three new judges have been appointed to serve in Manitoba, the federal government announced Thursday.

Three new judges have been appointed to serve in Manitoba, the federal government announced Thursday.

Lore M. Mirwaldt, a partner with Mirwaldt & Gray in Winnipeg, will serve as judge in the family division of the Manitoba Court of Queen's Bench. Mirwaldt replaces Mr. Justice F. Aquila, said a government news release.

David J. Kroft, a lawyer with Fillmore Riley LLP in Winnipeg, will serve on Queen's Bench and replace Madam Justice J.A. Pfuetzner, who moved onto the Court of Appeal last June.

Candace Grammond, a partner with Pitblado LLP in Winnipeg, will serve on the Queen's Bench in Winnipeg to replace Mr. Justice Murray Sinclair, who is now serving as a Canadian Senator.

All appointments take place immediately, said the release.
