Missing Bryan Balong found dead in West Kildonan, Winnipeg police say
Balong, 33, had been missing since Nov. 22
On Saturday, police said they received a call to the West Kildonan area where they located the missing man. An autopsy has been ordered and police said the investigation is ongoing.
"It's devastating news for us and for everyone who knew him," said Balong's brother, Brad.
"It's going to take a long time to process these feelings and this grief but we are trying to take it day by day now."
Balong had been missing since Nov. 22. The father of two young girls was last seen at his home on Leila Avenue near Salter Street.

Police said they were called to the 400 block of Royal Avenue in West Kildonan on Saturday to investigate what they described as "suspicious circumstances," at around 4 p.m.
Brad said he thought the police presence might be about his brother, and later in the evening the family was told that Bryan was found dead.
"I felt like I was numb the whole night," Brad said. "I still feel that way. I'm in a daze right now."
Brad said he is thankful for the community's support.
"Our goal [was] to find him and bring him home. Now that we know that he's not with us anymore I can have peace of mind knowing that we did find him. That's the best we can really ask at this point," Brad said.
"Now we can bury him with the peace of mind that he's in peace."
