A 44-year-old farmer in southwestern Manitoba is in hospital after being struck by a freight train.
It happened just before noon Tuesday at a Canadian Pacific Railway uncontrolled crossing, just south of the Trans-Canada Highway on Road 93W, according to RCMP.
The man, a resident of the Rural Municipality of North Cypress, was on a John Deere tractor at the time of the collision.
He was taken to hospital, where police say his condition is not known at this time.
No one else was injured.
