Man dies in head-on crash with dump truck near Selkirk

A 53-year-old-man died after a head-on crash with a dump truck north of Winnipeg on Thursday.

A 53-year-old Selkirk man died after a head-on crash with a dump truck on Thursday.

STARS air ambulance and RCMP rushed to the crash on Highway 230 (McPhillips Road), north of Highway 67, just before 5 a.m.

The man, who was alone in the vehicle, was driving south on 230 when he collided with the northbound truck, police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, just north of Winnipeg.

The other driver involved did not suffer injuries.
