Eric Gutman's autobiographical tale of how he achieved, then walked away from his Broadway dream is as slick as a mobster and as much fun as a big budget musical.

The show is packed with great songs from on and off Broadway, and Gutman has performed in Jersey Boys 1200 times, playing six different roles including three of the Four Seasons. So it comes as no surprise that here we get to enjoy the work of a consummate theatre and singing professional at Fringe prices.

What is surprising, and delightfully so, is how frank Gutman is willing to get in sharing his backstage stories, audition anecdotesΒ and how he felt during the ups and downs of his early career.

I was also surprised at how profoundly moving the end was, even though it is projected in all of the show's marketing materials and press. Further testament to Gutman's immense talents.
