"We just got a call for a car fire. Car was up against the building, though, so that was a bit of a concern," fire Capt. Terry Mymko said at the scene.

Mymko said firefighters gained entry to the garage, which was closed at the time, and found no damage inside.

"So the damage is the car and then you can see the sign, the sign has melted," he said.

Mymko added that there are many risks involved with a car fire so close to a building.

"There's flammable liquids inside the car, there could be anything in the trunk, so there's lots of unknowns so we take full precautions," he said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
