Fire destroys 2 homes on Brokenhead First Nation
A fire early Saturday morning on the Brokenhead First Nation destroyed two homes, RCMP say.
According to the Mounties, an emergency call went out around 4 a.m. CT Saturday.
By the time police arrived two houses were in flames. One of the homes was still under construction.
Police said there was no one in the homes at the time of the fires and there were no injuries.
They said both homes were a total loss, and the total damage done was estimated to be $300,000.
The Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner is helping with the police investigation.
The Brokenhead First Nation is about 65 kilometres northeast of Winnipeg.
