A head-on collision near Riding Mountain National Park has killed a 51-year-old Toronto man.

The man was driving a car south on Highway 5 in Manitoba at around 9 a.m. on Tuesday. The car crossed into the northbound lane and drove into a semi-trailer near the junction with Highway 50, RCMP said.

The truck driver didn't suffer serious injuries, but the man died at the scene, police said.

RCMP are continuing to investigate along with a collision reconstructionist.
